Central Heating Repair in Edinburgh City

Yes. You get told what was found, what was done and anything worth keeping an eye on, in plain terms, before we leave the Edinburgh City property.

If they are seized, yes. A stuck valve either starves a room or leaves it running permanently, and both cost more over a winter than the valve does.

For anything that is not urgent, a week or two of notice gives the most choice of days. An urgent fault is a different conversation, so say which it is when you call.

Sometimes a gland repack sorts it. If the body is corroded, replacing the valve is the honest answer and we will say so.

Sometimes. A working system with recent paperwork answers questions a buyer's surveyor may raise, but spend where it matters rather than on an upgrade you will not benefit from.

Often, yes. With its valves closed, a single radiator can usually be taken off and swapped without draining the whole house.

The address, what the system is doing, the boiler make and model if you can see it, and whether anyone is home during the day. That is enough to plan the visit properly.

No. It helps a genuinely dirty system and does nothing for a system with a mechanical fault. We would rather find out which you have than sell the flush by default.

We can arrange access with a tenant in Edinburgh City, but the instruction and the payment come from the landlord or agent so everyone knows where they stand.

A drip can usually be contained with a towel and a tray until it is looked at. If it is spreading or the boiler pressure keeps dropping, call sooner.
