How we handle your details

If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the town or area you are in, the service you selected, whether you flagged the job as urgent, and anything you type into the message box.

We do not ask for payment details, card numbers or any identity documents through this website, and you should never send them to us by email.

With the enquiry we also record the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an advert or a tagged link, which advert or campaign it was. That tells us which adverts are worth paying for.

To reply to your enquiry, work out what the job involves, and give you a price. That is the only reason. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list from a website enquiry.

The site runs on Vercel, which hosts the pages and handles the request. An enquiry is sent to us by email through Resend. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot.

Silver Spider Media, the agency that runs this website, keeps a secure copy of each enquiry so that none is lost if an email fails to arrive.

Google provides the analytics and advertising measurement described below.

Each of those providers processes the data on our behalf, under their own security and data protection terms. Nobody else is given your details.

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your job and any follow-up work that comes from it, and no longer than that. If you want your details removed sooner, ask and we will delete them.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Get in touch and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand which adverts and pages lead to enquiries. These set cookies only if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

If you do not accept, no Google cookies are set. Google still receives basic signals without cookies, such as the address of the page, the time of the visit, your IP address, and whether you tapped one of our phone numbers or sent an enquiry (with the service you chose), which it uses to estimate how many enquiries an advert produced. Google processes these under its own terms.

If you accept and then send an enquiry, your email address and phone number are scrambled (hashed) in your browser before anything is sent, and Google uses the scrambled values only to match the enquiry to an advert you clicked. If you have not accepted, this does not happen.

Our web agency, Silver Spider Media, counts page visits and taps on our phone numbers without cookies or any identifier, whatever you choose on the cookie banner: a page address, the type of device, which number was tapped, and where the visit came from (an advert, or the campaign named in the link), added to a daily running total. With your permission it also records which pages you view and whether you tap a phone number, under a random identifier stored in your browser.

Cloudflare Turnstile may set a token in your browser as part of checking that a form submission is genuine, which is necessary for the form to work.
