Heating Installation and Repair for Polmont Homes and Businesses

Call us on 07449 567506 and tell us your postcode and what the boiler is doing, for example no heat, no hot water, or an error code on the display. We will fit you into the schedule as soon as we reasonably can. If you smell gas, turn the boiler off at the isolation valve, open a window, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency number.

We are Gas Safe registered and insured, which is the legal requirement for anyone working on a gas appliance in Scotland. Ask to see the Gas Safe ID card when we arrive; every registered engineer carries one and it is worth checking before letting anyone start work.

If the boiler needs frequent call-outs, the flame burns yellow or orange rather than blue, or replacement parts are getting hard to source for that model, replacement is usually worth considering over another repair. If your property still has the pipework from when the boiler was first fitted, that is also worth flagging when you call.

Yes. Where space is tight, a compact wall-mounted combi boiler is often the practical option since it does not need a separate tank or cylinder. We look at the space, the existing pipe runs and where the flue can go before recommending anything.

Not always. If radiators are cold at the bottom, take a long time to heat up, or the system sounds noisy when running, there may be sludge built up inside the pipework, and a flush before fitting a new boiler helps the new unit run as it should.

It depends on the boiler type, its condition and how easy it is to access. We look at the job in person and give you a price before doing any work, rather than quoting blind over the phone.

If your property is an older terrace with solid walls and original single glazing, a correctly sized condensing boiler paired with radiators sized for the rooms tends to perform better than an undersized system fitted to save money upfront. Loft and pipe insulation help too, though that work sits outside a boiler job itself.

A straightforward swap in the same spot usually takes most of a day. If we are moving the boiler, replacing pipework or changing the flue route, the job can run longer or need a second visit. We will tell you which applies once we have seen the property.

Yes. Landlords must have an annual gas safety check carried out on each rented property and give tenants a copy of the record. We carry out these checks and issue the CP12 certificate once complete.

What matters more than the badge on the front is whether the boiler is the right output for your property and whether parts are still readily available for that model. We talk you through the options that suit your property rather than steering you toward one particular make.
