Boiler Service in Polmont

The address, what the system is doing, the boiler make and model if you can see it, and whether anyone is home during the day. That is enough to plan the visit properly.

Clear space around the boiler, the previous service record if you have it, and the manual if it is to hand. It all shortens the visit.

Plainly. What is not working, when it started, any noise or error code, and whether anything was done to it recently. That is more useful than technical vocabulary.

A service is the appliance. If radiators are cold in patches or the system sounds like it is full of grit, that is a separate look at the system rather than part of the service.

Say so when booking. If someone else can let us into the Polmont property, or a key can be left safely, the visit can still go ahead.

We tell you what it is, whether it makes the appliance unsafe, and what the repair involves. Nothing gets done beyond the service until you have agreed to it.

Yes. Older buildings across Falkirk District often have thick walls, long pipe runs and past alterations, and the job is planned around what is actually there.

A note of what was checked and the readings taken, which is worth keeping with the boiler's other paperwork.

For anything that is not urgent, a week or two of notice gives the most choice of days. An urgent fault is a different conversation, so say which it is when you call.

Cold snaps are when weak points show up: pressure drops, frozen pipework and pumps that were already struggling. Getting those looked at before the first hard frost is the easy win.
