Boiler Repair in Bonnybridge

Clear the space in front of the boiler and around any radiators or pipework being worked on. If the boiler in the Bonnybridge property is in a cupboard, a bit of room to kneel makes the job quicker.

Very. Have it ready when you call. It narrows the fault down before the visit starts, which means less time spent diagnosing and more spent fixing.

For anything that is not urgent, a week or two of notice gives the most choice of days. An urgent fault is a different conversation, so say which it is when you call.

On older boilers with a pilot light, it usually points to a thermocouple, a draught or a supply problem. It needs looking at rather than relighting over and over.

If it makes sense, yes, for example when a part has to be ordered or the heating needs to stay on overnight. You will be told why before anything is left part done.

Doing it occasionally is fine. Doing it weekly means water is escaping somewhere, and every top-up brings fresh oxygen into a system that corrodes because of it.

Often, if there is a bit of notice. Fixed days are easier to hold than fixed hours, so tell us what actually needs to work around your week.

If you can smell gas, no, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 first. For anything else, describe what it is doing when you call and we will tell you whether to switch it off.

On a combi it can be frost protection or a hot tap dripping somewhere. If it keeps switching on and off in short bursts, that is worth having looked at in the Bonnybridge property.

That depends on the age of the appliance, the cost of the part, and how many things have failed recently. We will tell you when a repair is throwing good money after bad rather than quietly doing it.
